Let me preface by saying that I have owned a smaller version of this Masterbuilt gravity smoker for the past few years and have done smoke dozens of ribs, tri-tips, roasts, and salmon candy in this unit. This is the first ever sizeable discount we’ve seen for this board game. Ark Nova is another board game that was released very recently, earlier this year. Ever since its release, it has climbed the ranks and garnered a reputation of being one of the best strategy board games ever. The premise of Ark Nova seems simple enough. You are in control of a modern zoo and it’s your job to take care of the animals, take on conservation and research projects, attract and entertain the customers, and basically run the most successful zoo in the game. This is not a game for board game amateurs; there are a lot of mechanics to keep track of and the “medium-heavy” complexity is on par with other ambitious games like Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars, and Scythe.

HP has coined it “Frostcap” technology, and it’s basically a thermoelectric peltier that’s built into the headset and chills metal plates that are housed in each earcup. This particular LG Ultragear monitor is one of the best 32″ gaming monitors you can get. The 2560×1440 resolution is nice and sharp on the 32″ display, yet it’s low enough to allow mid-range cards like the RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 3070 to handle it beautifully, even at the maximum 165Hz refresh rate for many games. The Nano IPS display is LG’s version of QLED, and it allows for better color handling and higher contrast ratio. It’s also G-SYNC compatible, like any high-end gaming should be.

Yes there are faster SSDs out there, but if your intention is to put this in your PS5, then that extra speed is worthless because you’re bottlenecked by the stock PS5 SSD. It is HDR True Black 400 certified with trademark OLED near-infinite contrast levels and an outstanding 1000nits of peak brightness. Gamers will definitely appreciate the blisteringly fast 0.1ms response time and 175Hz refresh rate. This was the first OLED gaming monitor to achieve G-SYNC “Ultimate” certification, since one of the requirements is the ability to push 1000nits in HDR, and traditional OLED displays simply aren’t bright enough. In terms of connectivity options, there are DisplayPort and HDMI ports as well as dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.
QD-OLED technology was a big hit at this year’s CES and Samsung earned the “Best of Innovation 2022” award for it. The QD OLED panel uses quantum dot technology to more efficiently produce higher peak brightness levels compared to traditional OLED TVs without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for.
